Wellington Branch Fellowship pin presentation

A number of prominent Wellingtonians recently received special recognition from the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

The Wellington Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants held a Fellowship pin presentation evening on April 2 as part of the Institute's centenary celebrations. The evening was a great event and over 50 Fellows of the Institute received a Fellowship pin, presented by Institute Centennial President Graham Crombie.

Institute Wellington Branch Manager Margaret Dawson said "it was just wonderful to honour so many members in our centenary year. They are all very successful men and women, and deserve this recognition. They reflect the Institute's achievements over the last hundred years and, as we share in their celebrations, we look to the future too."

A number of prominent Wellingtonians received Fellowship pins, including former Telecom Chairman and Honorary Member of the Business Roundtable Peter Shirtcliffe, Emeritus Professor Don Trow, Centreport Chairman and Massey University Chancellor Nigel Gould, former Cabinet Minister Peter Gresham, former IRD Commissioner Graham Holland and the former Secretary of the Treasury Graham Scott.

A Fellowship of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants is one of its highest honours, reflecting the esteem in which a person is held by his fellow members. Fellows are nominated by their peers for their contribution to the Institute, the profession and the community: the Institute Council approves fewer than 20 nominations a year.
