Wairarapa AGM and gala dinner

The Wairarapa Sub-Branch AGM was held on 28 August at the Solway Copthorne Hotel Resort. Six new members were presented with their new member certificates by the Institute’s 2nd Vice President Dinu Harry. This was a great number of new members for such a small branch; Wairarapa usually has only one or two a year. The branch’s main centennial event followed; dinner with invited guests including Mayor and Mayoress Garry and Lindy Daniell (Masterton), Mayor Adrienne Staples (South Wairarapa), and guest speaker Sir Brian Lochore. During the evening the branch’s eight fellows were presented with a specially designed pin to commemorate the Institute’s centenary.
